When it comes to saving lives, every minute counts. Now a Reno, Nevada-based drone delivery company says it can deliver an automated external defibrillator (AED) within four minutes.

The Flirtey Eagle was unveiled earlier this month at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

The company says it has worked with NASA, Johns Hopkins University of Medicine, Remote Area Medical, and New Zealand Land Search & Rescue to deliver medicine to rural healthcare clinics and ship-to-shore deliveries of medical samples.

It has also worked with Domino’s and 7-Eleven to deliver food and other goods by air, according to the company’s website.

Flirtey is the drone manufacturer and operator that is assisting the Reno Emergency Medical Services Authority (REMSA) in implementing the nation’s first geographically launched drone response system that will be sending Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s) to remote areas of the coverage area in Nevada.
